It was a little rainy today at Hannah’s soccer game.  Apparently the rain is good luck for our little soccer star…she scored 3 goals.

We got Emmie a new pair of boots the other day and they came with this cute box.  Emmie told Hannah she could use the box.  Hannah thought it was the perfect box for her home reading books.  I thought so too!  :)

These two movies are what we’re watching, what seems like ALL THE TIME.  When we’re not watching Emmie’s favorite Beauty and the Beast, we’re watching Camp Rock 2 and if we’re not watching that then you can usually find us rocking out to the Camp Rock 2 CD.  You know it’s bad when Tom knows the songs word for word and when Emmie can sing half a song.  :)

Emerson loves her “appie shider”.    We are so thankful that we can buy the big boxes of it at Costco.  We’ve  decided that we’ll pick up a box every time we go, so that when they stop selling it in Spring and Sumer we won’t be out of “appie shider”. :)

We went to Costco today.  Emerson doesn’t like shopping with us so we are very thankful for my parents house being so close to Costco.  We just drop Emmie off  and shop in relative peace.  Hannah decided that tonight she wanted to join us.  I have a feeling she thought she’d get something out of it, but not this time.

Half way through the trip she decided that she wanted me to take her picture and send it to Aunt Jen.  Apparently she’s missing her Auntie Jen as much as I am.

Hannah’s friend Mimi, I mean Amelia (she told me that THIS year she is going by Amelia, not Mimi  :) ) had her birthday party at Ben Franklin in Monroe.  What a great place to have a birthday party.  Kids can do their crafts upstairs while the Mommies shop downstairs.  Brilliant! 

They made mini scrapbooks.  Hannah’s very first scrapbook.  Melt my heart!

Hannah’s preschool teacher, Ms. Shellee, came to Hannah’s soccer game today.  Holy cow, Hannah was one excited girl to see her.  Hannah LOVES Ms. Shellee!  I had to laugh because every time she did something good on the field she would quick look over and see if Ms. Shellee was watching.  Go Hannah!

I went to a Girl Scout meeting last night.  Hannah wants to do Girl Scouts.  Well, she decided wanted to do GS’s when she  heard that she would get to do crafts.  :)  I’ll be filling out her paperwork today and calling to request my co-leader paperwork.  Yes, I said co-leader.  Kira, Mimi’s mom, talked me into it.  We shall see.

As we were driving to my chiropractor appointment, we passed this gentleman mowing his yard.  Tom and I both completely lost it when we realized that he had tied a garbage bag around each leg to protect his shoes and pants.  Garbage bags as boots – we give him an A for effort and creativity.  :)

I can’t even believe that I took a picture of a spider web, let alone two of them but I had to.  Our yard has been completely taken over by these creepy creatures.  The only thing I like about them is the fact that they make beautiful webs.  I am absolutely fascinated with them.

I had to work tonight.  I told the girls to pretend that I was in Redmond and that I wasn’t there.  I laughed when it was time to eat dinner…Tom had prepared my dinner and even included a note.  :)  I love him!

The cereal of choice these days at the Walker house.  I prefer the Honey Chex, Emmie the Kix and Tom the Crunch Berries…Hannah likes them all…mixed together.  I have a problem with that.  I just don’t think that cereals should me mixed. Ever.  ;)

We were invited to a BBQ at the Farm in Snohomish.  We had so much fun with all the fall activities they offer.  We managed to make it through the  corn maze with all these kids, no injuries, just a few falls and most importantly no tears!

We got a “new to us” couch today.  Rob’s mom got married and had an extra couch at her house.  Rob & Beck had a feeling that we might be interested in it.  Boy was that an understatement!  We gladly offered to take it off her hands.  No more gross “white” Ikea couch for us!  Woot Woot!

We spent the day at Aunt Mimi & Uncle Ralph’s house in LaConnor visiting with Aunt Karlene.  It didn’t look like we were going to have beach weather, but the clouds parted and the sun came out.  Emmie and Cole had lots of fun exploring the rocks.

We went to Snohomish today in search of a “celebrate” banner for Hannah’s birthday party.  When I called my sister to see if she would help me make one, she said she had already started it.  :)  We headed over to the Henry house to help put it together.  She said we could always borrow this one, but after seeing how easy it was, we’ll be making one for our house very soon.

I stepped out of my comfort zone today and joined a bible study at our neighbors church.  I was completely uncomfortable going, but by the time it was over I was SO proud of myself and so glad I went.  I’m going to enjoy my Thursdays with the ladies of The Bridge Church in Snohomish.

Back to school today for Hannah.  We just pretended that it was her birthday and celebrated as we would have done yesterday.  I was able to go and have lunch with Hannah and then stayed for the rest of the day.  Hannah requested ice cream cups for her birthday treat and they were a hit.

Hannah’s birthday didn’t start out very well.  As I was washing her hair this morning, giving her a star treatment, for her big birthday I noticed a bug…you know the one I’m talking about.  The one I’m not going to mention because it grosses me out.  Poor girl had to stay home on her birthday.  Her and I both cried and cried some more.  I felt SO bad for her.  As to where she picked it up, we have NO clue.  We couldn’t let the day be a total waste.  We took her out to dinner to her favorite place – Red Robin.  She could barely eat her dinner she was SO excited to have them sing the birthday song to her.  :)  I’m hoping that Red Robin is what she remembers of her 6th birthday.

Cameron and Laryssa got married today.  I didn’t get any good pictures during the wedding ceremony because of the total downpour outside.  When looking back at the pictures I did get, this was by far my favorite from this crazy day.

With school starting this week, I am craving a little organization in our house.  I saw these cute head band/hair accessory holders and Hannah and I just had to make them.  1 can of Quaker oats (minus the oats), 2 pieces of 12x12 scrapbook paper and a little Mod Podge.  Super Easy!

We took the girls to the fair this afternoon.  We had lots of fun looking at all of the animals and exhibits.  We met up with the Henry family after a while and spent the rest of the evening with them.  After telling our girls that we  weren’t going to ride rides, we did just that.  They each got to choose 3 rides to go on.  Hannah and Jake did the swings, the mini roller coaster, and the Shrek funhouse.  Emmie did the carousel twice, and the cars.  By 8 o’clock we were ready to get some scones and get out of there.  :)

Today we got the letter we’ve been waiting for ALL summer long.  The letter letting us know who Hannah’s first grade teacher is going to be.  Drum roll please…….. Mrs. Ogden!!  Hannah really wanted Mrs. Ogden, so we’re a little more than happy today.

After being told by more than one person that our laundry was behind, I decided to tackle it today.  We also had baby Mara (Mara belongs to Stephanie from Tom’s office). Mara made the task a little more enjoyable.  She’s so cute!!  On TV…Emmie’s favorite show of the moment Caillou.  Oh how I dislike that show.  :)

They FINALLY opened the track over at the school.  We’ve only been waiting 2 years.  We went over and took a few spins around with Tiffany and Aubrey.  Emmie and Aubrey are BFF’s.  :)

Grandpa Dick (Kevin’s dad) was in town and leaving the next day.  We went down to Issaquah to have dinner with him before he left.  We always have a nice time with him.  It’s a shame he lives so far away in Indiana.  Had to snap a picture of the girls with him.  Check out Grandpa Kevin’s tomato plants…CrAzY!

As we arrived at the play fields for Hannah’s second soccer game, we were greeted by ambulances and fire trucks.  Apparently, the pilot had some engine problems and had to bring the plane down.  Thankfully there were no injuries and that he was able to bring it down next to the fields and not on them. 

On a side note…Hannah scored 2 goals today!!! Go Hannah Go!

When I saw these two napping together, it melted my heart.  I love these girls!!!  I love how Emmie is trying to touch Hannah’s neck and I love how Hannah is holding on to her.  Oh the sweetness.

I’ve also informed Hannah that this is most likely her last nap….she can’t take naps in 1st grade.

Today was a sad day for us.  It was our last day with the Garrett family before they move back to Idaho.  They are such a wonderful family and I can’t believe they’re leaving.  If I have my way I’ll be heading to Boise after Christmas and before tax season starts to go visit and meet baby Joshua Paul who is due near Emmie’s birthday.

Soccer started today for Hannah.  We are all excited about this.  Although, I think Hannah was a bit more excited about the oranges than the game.  She was nice and shared with the other team, who only had 3 people there.  :)
