The girls went to Anne’s birthday party today while at Grandmas. Once again they had a face painting lady there. Hannah got a beautiful Hawaiian flower on one cheek and a shooting star on the other. Emerson had a cupcake which just made me want to eat her cheek. After the party we went to Costco and they wanted to send Nana happy smiles. :) And, without my camera, this was my only option for a picture of the day. :) I’ll stop whining now.
I’ll often find Emerson sitting in front of the TV, watching and playing with her favorite toy of the moment. Today it happens to be her Thomas trains.
Sad, sad day! I sent my camera off to Canon to have them fix my baby. I’m hoping that it’s not too costly of a fix and that it’ll be back in my hands soon. I’ll miss you little camera!
We had a morning visitor today. When we woke up there were 4 bucks laying at the front of the house. We threw over a couple leftover hamburger buns and this one came right over. What a great way to end our wonderful vacation.
Today we made our Sandprints. It was quite the challenge with Emmie, but we managed and I think they turned out pretty darn good. We’ll have to do them again since Tom’s fingers all broke off and right before we left, Emmie’s pointer finger broke. It was a fun beach craft. Too bad we weren’t able to get them done while everyone else was with us.
We spent part of the afternoon today at the Arcade. Emerson loved the little horses and Hannah and I had fun playing skee ball. Despite all that fun, Tom and I both decided that it’s not someplace we need to go again.
One of the items on the vacation to do list…Minute to Win It. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. Emerson had fun trying to play the Oreo game. The object of the game…to get the Oreo from your forehead to your mouth using only your facial muscles. Seriously so funny.
Today I took the Caleb and Emmie for a walk with Kira (Mimi's mom) while the big kids were at school. I was thankful for the double stroller until I had to hike back up the gigantic hill. It sure makes a difference pushing two instead of one. By the time we got to the top of the hill I was wishing I was sleeping in the stroller too.
Someone lost her other tooth. Only this time she really lost it...she swallowed it in her sleep. I love how grown in the other teeth actually are. She held on to those teeth as long as possible.
Today was Caitlin's graduation party and most all of the family was there. Heather, Jeff and baby Ethan made an appearance at the party. One would never have guessed that it was their first outing. They are very relaxed parents. :) I love this picture of the generations and I am so happy that my camera cooperated long enough for me to get it.
According to the calendar it's June but you would never know by the weather. Around here they are calling it Jun-uary, since it's more like January weather. 
I have no idea what type of plant this is but I will forever and always think of Grammy Na when it blooms. When Grammy would stay at our house, while my parents were in Vegas for Dad's bowling tournaments, we would sit outside, drink lemonade and watch a little Hannah play. It was on her first stay here when Grammy pointed the baby bumblebees to us. Now every June we anxiously wait for the baby bumblebees to visit our pretty blue plant.
Emerson found a box full of Hannah's old princesses last weekend and she hasn't let them out of her site since. They've been to school, the grocery store, target and now they are joining us at dinner. We had an indoor picnic tonight and I laughed when I looked down to check in on Emerson. She lined them around her plate and was checking in with them as she ate. This girl makes me smile!
We set out on a letterboxing adventure this afternoon. Our clues took us to Flowing Lake in Snohomish. We searched and searched with no such luck. We did find where it was supposed to be but someone had removed the box. Big bummer for us!
We thought we'd try our hand at homemade pizzas. Ours didn't compare to the Pohl pizzas but they were alright. Hannah has decided that she wants to do this more often...she really enjoyed making her pizza just the way she likes it.
She was home from school less than 20 minutes when I found her fast asleep on the couch, listening to her music. My little nap girl.
These shoes are Emmie's favorite right now. I made the mistake of trying to match the colors and was quickly told that I was wrong. She loves one pink and one yellow shoe. :)
