Hannah had her last soccer game of the season today.  She did really good.  She scored two goals today and boy was she proud.  She was also really happy that Nana was there to watch.  I’m not sure what’s going on with her feet in this picture, but something tells me she might have fallen after I took this.  :)

Today was Hannah’s Fall party at school.  Emerson and I went along to help out.  Emerson was so excited when Mrs. Ogden said she could participate in the class.  When I saw these two with their arms around each other it melted my heart!

Joey is the newest member of our family.  Caitlin and Alex got him 2 weeks ago and oh my word, he is such a cute, cute puppy!  She brought him over today for a visit and we all loved having him here.  Love those puppy paws!

Kira, Mimi and baby Violet came over today for a little Halloween cookie decorating.  Kira made the cookies and the frosting and the girls did all of the decorating.  Tom was happy when he came home to find these beauties.  :)

Emerson and I had fun on our walk today.  We found lots of pretty leaves and a few flowers.  She is such a sweet and fun loving girl!  She really does know how to brighten my day!

This is what I woke up to.  It proved to be a great indoor day.  It rained and rained!

10-23-10

With Tom busy painting our bedroom, I decided that I would paint the laundry room.  I figure I spend enough time in there it might as well be a color that I love.  Apparently, I’m the only one who loves my “Mojito” walls…and I’m ok with that.  :)

Emmie hurt her finger today.  I had to interrupt Aunt Susie’s trip to Vegas to get her opinion on it.  I was kind of freaked out about the spot where her finger was turning white when she used it, so I sent her this picture.   I’m not sure I’ve mentioned it before but I am SO thankful Susie is a nurse.  She’s not just a nurse, she’s a GREAT nurse.  :)  I’m not exactly sure what  Emmie did, but I know she hit it on something while running away from her friend Aubrey.  Tonight, her finger is still swollen and  is a few shades of purple.  I know it’s really bothering her by the way she is favoring it but she insists that it doesn’t hurt.  She’s one tough cookie!  We’ll re-evaluate (send Aunt Susie a picture) in the morning to see if she thinks we need to have it looked at. Keeping my fingers crossed that it’ll be all better in the morning.

Tom went to jail today.  If you ask the girls they’ll happily tell you all about how their daddy is going to jail.  Even if you didn’t ask they’re quick to tell you.  I forgot to stress the fact that it was fake jail.  Hannah told me that she told her friends at school she was sad because her daddy was going to jail.  When I asked her if she told them it was restaurant jail, she said no.  I told her that she probably should have told them that.  I’m pretty sure her friends weren’t able to pick up on her pretend sad face.  She’s quite the drama queen.  :)  I wonder how many play dates she’ll get now.  :)

Tom did amazing on his fund raising.  For someone who didn’t start asking for pledges until this week he did outstanding.  He ended up raising over $1200 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association!  Way to go honey!

Silly bands.  They are the “it” thing right now in the elementary schools.  I’d like to thank Aunt Julie for getting Hannah started on these silly things.    So far they’re not banned at her school, but I may or may not have told her that they’re not allowed in her class.  :)  I’ve also told her that if I find them on the floor they’re going in the garbage.  So far so good.  On a side note, I laid them all out for the sake of the picture.  :)  I guess it could be worse…like say, Garbage Pail Kids from back in my day.  I wonder what ever happened to that collection. Hmmm…

A peek into our week.  This is the first week in a while where we didn’t have all days filled with multiple things.  I think it’s finally starting to slow down in the Walker household.

We went to the Farm today…not for pumpkins but for pictures.  Hannah needed her 6 year pictures and the Henry’s wanted a Christmas card photo.  My girls do love those Henry kids.

Tom’s pumpkins are starting to turn orange.  Yay.  It’ll be interesting to see who gets the three pumpkins.  Hannah says her daddy will give the big one to his “sweetie” and according to her, she is his sweetie.  :)

10-13-10

Hannah’s friend from school invited her to “bring a friend to dance” night.  Her friend is in a competition Hip Hop Class and holy guacamole.  I haven’t laughed so hard in a really long time.  Apparently Hannah inherited her father’s dancing genes.  What she lacks in rhythm she makes up in style.  :)  I think we’re going to have to talk to her dad about signing her up.  She loved it!

The girls and I made applesauce last night.  I think we’re going to have to make this a regular thing.  We all had fun and our applesauce…SO YUMMY.  Nothing beats homemade applesauce.

With our dryer on the fritz our laundry has been piling up and a trip to the Laundromat was necessary.  Kira and I took the two little ones and did some laundry.  I was a little nervous about having to entertain Emmie but the machines did that for me.  She loved them!

Tom and I took a load to the dump today and as we arrived at the dump the clouds parted and the sun came out.  It was a welcome sight from all the rain.

It was a little rainy today at Hannah’s soccer game.  Apparently the rain is good luck for our little soccer star…she scored 3 goals.

10-08-10

My only picture for today came from Jen.  She sent this picture wondering if Hannah could guess what the story of the week was in her class.  I’m embarrassed to say that we didn’t know.  We haven’t read Elmer the Elephant.  Looks like we might need to. Cute!

10-07-10

We got Emmie a new pair of boots the other day and they came with this cute box.  Emmie told Hannah she could use the box.  Hannah thought it was the perfect box for her home reading books.  I thought so too!  :)

10-06-07

These two movies are what we’re watching, what seems like ALL THE TIME.  When we’re not watching Emmie’s favorite Beauty and the Beast, we’re watching Camp Rock 2 and if we’re not watching that then you can usually find us rocking out to the Camp Rock 2 CD.  You know it’s bad when Tom knows the songs word for word and when Emmie can sing half a song.  :)

Emerson loves her “appie shider”.    We are so thankful that we can buy the big boxes of it at Costco.  We’ve  decided that we’ll pick up a box every time we go, so that when they stop selling it in Spring and Sumer we won’t be out of “appie shider”. :)

We went to Costco today.  Emerson doesn’t like shopping with us so we are very thankful for my parents house being so close to Costco.  We just drop Emmie off  and shop in relative peace.  Hannah decided that tonight she wanted to join us.  I have a feeling she thought she’d get something out of it, but not this time.

Half way through the trip she decided that she wanted me to take her picture and send it to Aunt Jen.  Apparently she’s missing her Auntie Jen as much as I am.

Hannah’s friend Mimi, I mean Amelia (she told me that THIS year she is going by Amelia, not Mimi  :) ) had her birthday party at Ben Franklin in Monroe.  What a great place to have a birthday party.  Kids can do their crafts upstairs while the Mommies shop downstairs.  Brilliant!

They made mini scrapbooks.  Hannah’s very first scrapbook.  Melt my heart!

Hannah’s preschool teacher, Ms. Shellee, came to Hannah’s soccer game today.  Holy cow, Hannah was one excited girl to see her.  Hannah LOVES Ms. Shellee!  I had to laugh because every time she did something good on the field she would quick look over and see if Ms. Shellee was watching.  Go Hannah!

I went to a Girl Scout meeting last night.  Hannah wants to do Girl Scouts.  Well, she decided wanted to do GS’s when she  heard that she would get to do crafts.  :)  I’ll be filling out her paperwork today and calling to request my co-leader paperwork.  Yes, I said co-leader.  Kira, Mimi’s mom, talked me into it.  We shall see.
