The big AquaSox game was tonight. We went with a few families from Tom’s networking group, thanks to our Allstate agent and BNI member, Dave Keen. Tom and Hannah got to play a game out on the field…”Fishin’ for Tuition”. They didn’t win, but they both had a fun time.

JJ and I went to Ikea today. I love that place, seriously love that place. We came across this kitchen and I told Tom I’d like it replicated in our grown up house. Love the green. :)

As we were headed into Everett, I was thinking I hadn’t taken my picture of the day yet, when I saw the sunset. Hannah quickly grabbed my camera and snapped this picture. What an beautiful way to end the day.

This picture was actually taken on Monday but we didn’t do anything of importance today. Heather brought little Ethan over to my moms while we were hanging out, escaping the heat of our house. He’s such a little cutie. Emerson was so enamored with him, but really, who wouldn’t be?

The highlight of my weekend. I got to have coffee with my Jen. Jen and Grace came over to spend the weekend with her Aunt Joni and I got to sneak a little time in with them. :)

We went to Willis Tucker park today and played at the splash pad with the Garrett's and the Gonzalez’s. Jacob made us all laugh when we looked over and saw him meditating in the middle of the park. What a kid.

Grandma Judy came up for dinner today and after dinner she took Hannah shopping for some school goodies. She came home with two skirts, two shirts, underpants, a backpack and her lunchbox. She is one spoiled little first grader. Thank you Grandma Judy!!

We all had visits with Dr. Dire today. I was planning on taking Emmie’s picture at the office, but she wouldn’t sit by herself. I pretty much had to hold her down. She didn’t much care for the dental hygienist, but Dr. Mike – she loved. :) Unfortunately, Hannah has to go back – she has one sugar bug in between two of her teeth. Time to crack down on the flossing.

My birthday gift from Tom. I can’t tell you how much I love this picture…everything about it, the footprints in the sand, the stick in her hand…I love it all. Thank you Rob for capturing it. Now to decide where to put it.

We hit the back to school sales today and pretty much checked everything off Hannah’s supply list. Still needed: Backpack, pencil box, post it notes and a box of Kleenex. Pretty good considering school starts one month from today.

My birthday breakfast…Monkey Bread. Yum! Look closely and you can see my toes. I guess technically I DO have a picture of me on my birthday. :)

A sad day for Hannah, first she finds out that her friend Jacob is moving to Idaho and now her friend Abigail (with the silly face) is moving to Idaho as well. Hannah is going to miss this crazy faced little girl. :)

I went out to lunch today with Bonnie, a friend from work. We went to her favorite restaurant…Teapot Vegetarian House. She ordered a flowering tea that was absolutely beautiful, tasty and boy did it smell good. I had no idea such a thing existed. Bonnie made sure that I got to take it home with me and boy did the girls got a kick out of it. No daughter of mine is going to grow up not knowing what flowering tea is. :)
I have to say that I was a little scared going to this restaurant. It was not my type of food but I will admit that it was really good. I ate tofu! Real tofu and it didn’t even kill me. I am SO proud of myself.

Nothing like heading to the community center for a quick “svim” before heading home. Emerson LOVES to svim!

Uncle Doug made pancakes for the gang today. Hannah was so excited to have been asked to help him out. She got to push the blueberries down into the pancakes AND he helped her flip the pancakes. What a morning for her! :)

We finally made it to the beach. It’s never a good idea to leave Everett at 3 on a Friday. Emerson was so happy to be out of the car and even more excited to play with baby Alex.

Emerson had a hard time finding a pair of pants today so she dumped out her drawer. She’s actually yelling “I can’t find my pants!” I especially love the hand on her hip. :)

We had the Henry’s over for dinner tonight, yummy shish kabobs. After dinner I helped Becky set up her Project 365 blog and as they were getting ready to leave, I realized I hadn’t taken a picture yet. I don’t think you are supposed to take pictures of photographers while they sleep but it was too good to pass up. Thankfully, Becky grabbed my camera and took it for me. :) Apparently, blog set up is just too exciting for him.

Possibly one of my favorite pictures, even though it’s blurry. Hannah got to play with her friend Mimi this afternoon and the girl couldn’t have been more excited. You would have thought that it had been a year since they’ve seen each other. While the girls played Mimi’s mom Kira and I enjoyed a nice chat over coffee. I’ve missed my school moms. :)

Tuesday nights the girls get to spend the night with Papa and Nonnie. With us having one car, I drop Tom off at work on my way to Redmond at 5:30. It’s just easier for everyone involved if they spend the night rather than getting up early with us. The girls love spending time with Papa and Nonnie, possibly because they get popsicles and they get pop….”just a little pop, mom” is what Emerson always tells me. This is Emerson’s “spot”. She sits in the kitchen and watches Shrek. Notice the popsicle…this picture was taken at 9pm. :)

Tom has always wanted to plant his own pumpkins. I think he secretly wishes he was a farmer but that’s another story. He planted these back in May and for a while there they didn’t look like they were going to make it. I think all the rain we’ve had this “summer” certainly helped. I told Beck and Rob that they can come to Tom’s Pumpkin Patch this October for pumpkins rather than spending a fortune at the pumpkin farm. He is so excited about these bad boys.

We went to the AquaSox game with the Henrys tonight. Twice in one week…that’s just crazy. Emerson enjoyed her cotton candy…down to the very last drop. We should have a fun night with her and all that sugar. Once again, I was paying such close attention that I don’t even remember the score…or who we were even playing.

Today we celebrated Katie and Landon who got married in Hawaii on June 21. It was so nice to be able to celebrate them since we weren’t there for the actual wedding. Katie was absolutely beautiful in her dress. We are SO happy for them and wish them many many years of happiness.

I’m sure she’ll love this picture when she’s older but I couldn’t help but post it. It kind of sums up the day we all had. She was one tired princess today. I love the arm above her head.

Hannah has been going to VBS at a church down the street. She is absolutely loving it. I am loving the fact that she comes home and wants to go directly to the Bible to find the verse they learned that day.

Emerson likes to think she is a big girl. She wanted to push the cart while at the grocery store today. I laugh because she’ll walk around on her tip toes trying to see over the top bar, when she could just peek out through the middle. :) There is no telling a 2 1/2 year old what to do.

We went to a BBQ at Jen’s mom’s house today. It was fun to get together with her family. Hannah had lots of fun with Grace and Rachelle as always and Emerson was up to her usual antics…picking flowers and being cute. :)

The Pohl’s came into town today and one of the activities planned was an AquaSox game. They just happened to be playing the Spokane Indians, so it was a must see baseball game. Our AquaSox ended up beating Spokane, but the real excitement was Hannah getting a ball from the pitcher. She was super excited and yet not really sure what it all meant. I wonder if she thought she’d have to go down and play with them. :)

We spent the afternoon at my parents house trying to avoid our hot house and lack of shade back yard. When we left at noon it was 85 degrees inside. With Caryl, Ashlie and Parker visiting, we didn’t need extra bodies heating up our house and fighting over the small patch of shade just didn’t sound like fun. We set up camp on my parents new deck and sat and played cards while the little ones played in the sprinkler. I’m not sure who noticed our little friend sitting on the flag, but I’m glad they pointed him out. It was the cutest little bird perched on the super small lawn flag. Just checking us out, keeping us honest in our game playing.

When we headed down to the beach today there was a gentleman picking up garbage left behind from the 4th. I couldn’t believe how much trash was just left behind. He had already collected 2 bags and was on his way to finishing off a 3rd. Sadly, he had only covered a small section of the beach. We spent about 30 minutes helping him out. Hannah said she felt good about helping out which made me smile.

Today was a play outside day. Ms. Tiffany next door, brought out the sidewalk paint. Someone forgot to tell Emerson that she was to paint the sidewalk, not herself.
