After being told by more than one person that our laundry was behind, I decided to tackle it today. We also had baby Mara (Mara belongs to Stephanie from Tom’s office). Mara made the task a little more enjoyable. She’s so cute!! On TV…Emmie’s favorite show of the moment Caillou. Oh how I dislike that show. :)
They FINALLY opened the track over at the school. We’ve only been waiting 2 years. We went over and took a few spins around with Tiffany and Aubrey. Emmie and Aubrey are BFF’s. :)
Grandpa Dick (Kevin’s dad) was in town and leaving the next day. We went down to Issaquah to have dinner with him before he left. We always have a nice time with him. It’s a shame he lives so far away in Indiana. Had to snap a picture of the girls with him. Check out Grandpa Kevin’s tomato plants…CrAzY!
As we arrived at the play fields for Hannah’s second soccer game, we were greeted by ambulances and fire trucks. Apparently, the pilot had some engine problems and had to bring the plane down. Thankfully there were no injuries and that he was able to bring it down next to the fields and not on them.
On a side note…Hannah scored 2 goals today!!! Go Hannah Go!
We’re at the Henry’s this weekend watching Jake & Madi while Rob is shooting a wedding in Spokane. The girls were super happy to have their “big brother” to play with while Madi was at a sleepover. :)
When I saw these two napping together, it melted my heart. I love these girls!!! I love how Emmie is trying to touch Hannah’s neck and I love how Hannah is holding on to her. Oh the sweetness.
I’ve also informed Hannah that this is most likely her last nap….she can’t take naps in 1st grade.
We went to the library last night and Hannah picked out lots of books for both her and Emerson. She loves reading to her little sister.
Today was quite possibly one of our last warm days of summer. Our weekend has rain in the forecast and then next week the high is in the upper 60’s.
Today was a sad day for us. It was our last day with the Garrett family before they move back to Idaho. They are such a wonderful family and I can’t believe they’re leaving. If I have my way I’ll be heading to Boise after Christmas and before tax season starts to go visit and meet baby Joshua Paul who is due near Emmie’s birthday.
Soccer started today for Hannah. We are all excited about this. Although, I think Hannah was a bit more excited about the oranges than the game. She was nice and shared with the other team, who only had 3 people there. :)
The big AquaSox game was tonight. We went with a few families from Tom’s networking group, thanks to our Allstate agent and BNI member, Dave Keen. Tom and Hannah got to play a game out on the field…”Fishin’ for Tuition”. They didn’t win, but they both had a fun time.
JJ and I went to Ikea today. I love that place, seriously love that place. We came across this kitchen and I told Tom I’d like it replicated in our grown up house. Love the green. :)
This is what was waiting for me when I got to work. Job security that’s for sure. :)
As we were headed into Everett, I was thinking I hadn’t taken my picture of the day yet, when I saw the sunset. Hannah quickly grabbed my camera and snapped this picture. What an beautiful way to end the day.
This picture was actually taken on Monday but we didn’t do anything of importance today. Heather brought little Ethan over to my moms while we were hanging out, escaping the heat of our house. He’s such a little cutie. Emerson was so enamored with him, but really, who wouldn’t be?
The highlight of my weekend. I got to have coffee with my Jen. Jen and Grace came over to spend the weekend with her Aunt Joni and I got to sneak a little time in with them. :)
We went to Willis Tucker park today and played at the splash pad with the Garrett's and the Gonzalez’s. Jacob made us all laugh when we looked over and saw him meditating in the middle of the park. What a kid.
Grandma Judy came up for dinner today and after dinner she took Hannah shopping for some school goodies. She came home with two skirts, two shirts, underpants, a backpack and her lunchbox. She is one spoiled little first grader. Thank you Grandma Judy!!
